Crozer-Keystone Embarks On Two Hospital Expansion Projects
Crozer-Keystone Health System is expanding two of its Delaware County hospitals at a cost of about $9 million.
The health system is nearly doubling the bed capacity at Springfield Hospital, to 46 from 25, to accommodate anticipated growth in inpatient admissions and patients in the medical center's intensive care and observation units. The anticipated growth, hospital officials said, is due in part to the recruitment of additional primary care physicians – such as its recent acquisition of Rose Tree Medical Associates, a 15-provider primary care practice with offices in Aston and Media – to the system’s network of doctors.
