Foothill Regional Staff In Orange County Collect And Donate Wellness Kits To Tustin Homeless

Foothill Regional Medical Center, along with students of St. Hedwig, wrapped up the holiday season by putting together more than 200 wellness kits for the Hurtt Family Health Clinic to be distributed to the homeless men, women and children of the Orange County Rescue Mission.

The kits were packaged in Christmas gift bags and filled with basic necessities from razors and shampoo to diapers and baby wipes. Student volunteers from St. Hedwig Catholic Church assisted the hospital in separating items into kits for men, women and children. The donation to the Hurtt Family Health Clinic will be distributed to the residents of the Orange County Rescue Mission, an organization providing housing, meals, medical attention and professional development to the homeless.

“The residents of the Orange County Rescue Mission often come to us with nothing but the clothes on their back,” said Hurtt Family Health Clinic CEO Jewel Loff. “While toys and clothing are great, it’s vital toiletry and wellness donations like these that our organization and our residents are most grateful for.”
