As Coronavirus Rises, Rhode Island Doctors Prep

As the numbers of positive coronavirus cases and hospitalizations continue to climb in Rhode Island, some hospitals around the state say they see a silver lining, at least for now: The number of patients who need intensive care has not risen as dramatically.

Capacity issues have plagued intensive-care units in places such as Italy. New York on Wednesday reported 3,000 patients in intensive care units, an escalation of 300 from the day before.
