Foothill Regional Medical Center Donation Supports Police Foundation’s Efforts to Keep Tustin, CA, Safe

Foothill Regional Medical Center donated $1,500 to the Tustin Police Foundation for its efforts to reduce crime and improve the quality of life for area residents. “The donation to the foundation gives us the ability to do the work we do to keep the community safe,” foundation’s Sgt. Robert Nelson. “Partnerships like this can assist us in keeping a bright future for all.”

“There are many heroes in our community, but this foundation often goes unrecognized,” said hospital CEO Araceli Lonergan. “The non-profit foundation provides critical resources to the police department in its mission to support the residents and businesses in the community.”

A few of the programs include “Run with A Cop,” which inspire students to embrace health and physical fitness while learning how to care for their community; “Team Kids,” in which a Tustin police officer mentors fourth and fifth grade students to develop leadership and team-building skills. The foundation also supports the homeless population with bus passes, meal vouchers, clothing and dental care.

Donations like those from Foothill Regional Medical Center help to support these police programs and contribute to the common good of the community.
