Waterbury HEALTH, Community Partners Take Home COVID-19 Vaccine Awards

Waterbury HEALTH CEO Lester Schindel accepted the Award for Organizational Excellence by the Waterbury Regional Chamber of Commerce at a ceremony on Aug. 17, 2021. The award honors our work with the COVID-19 vaccine.

Post University, the hospital’s biggest community partner in our community COVID-19 vaccination effort also received the Award for Organizational Excellence.

The Unsung Hero Award went to Dr. David Hill, Waterbury Pulmonary Associates American Lung Association Board of Directors Member, Waterbury Hospital and Saint Mary’s Hospital Intensive Care Units. Dr. Hill serves as Chairman of the Prospect Waterbury Advisory Board.

The Stephen Sasala Health Advocate Award went to The Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury was our community partner in the vaccination effort of underserved populations in Waterbury.
