Children’s Halloween Parade Goes Ghoulish at Foothill Regional Medical Center Pediatric Subacute Unit

Foothill Regional Medical Center’s pediatric subacute unit celebrated Halloween with their annual Halloween Parade. Several hospital departments participated in the extravaganza by setting up trick-or-treat stations for kids dressed in costumes. Patient family members also attended.   

“This Halloween event is a favorite for the kids and their families,” said Pediatric Subacute Activity Coordinator Julianne Schlegel. “All the costumes bring so much joy to the children’s faces.”  

The 42-bed pediatric subacute unit houses medically fragile children who rely on ventilators and other medical equipment for their care. The unit is one of the only a few CMS 5-star rated pediatric subacute units in California. The hospital-based unit has 24/7 access to emergency services, pharmacy, lab, imaging, and other needed services.
